The purpose of the Cluster Commercial Finance function is to work shoulder-to-shoulder with cluster stakeholders to drive and impact cluster business performance. Cluster Commercial Finance are accountable for:(A) Delivering the commercial results of the cluster (P&L and Balance Sheet) and also acting as the ‘engine room’ of Business Performance management, owning the Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting processes within the framework set by the Group(A) Delivering the commercial results of the cluster (P&L and Balance Sheet) and also acting as the ‘engine room’ of Business Performance management, owning the Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting processes within the framework set by the Group(B) In addition, they are also required to be ‘forward looking’, focusing on identification of opportunities to drive improvements in top and bottom line and other key outcomes (e.g. work capital, cash, and cost reduction). Teams will use the data/analytics/tools which will be available to them (along with influencing relationship development and story telling skills) to drive material performance improvement, in collaboration with Cluster leadership teamsThe Cluster Commercial Finance function combines commercial knowledge and understanding of the drivers of performance with adequate financial accounting skills to assure accuracy of the financial accounts. The Cluster Commercial Finance function comprises of a small focused team focused on commercial finance. The Specialist of Cluster FP&A is expected to drive the cluster forecasting and planning process and deliver actionable insights to drive business performance in the cluster and markets in collaboration with Group FP&A. Group FP&A will own the global planning and budget process, but the role of Cluster FP&A is to comply to, add value to, and challenge these processes, to drive stronger global FP&A processes. Thus, the role will be the cluster anchor towards Group FP&A, ensuring reliable forecasts, solid and ambitious budgets (targets) and ability to strategically plan the business development. Thereby the cluster provides transparency on a cluster level, ensuring that market and cluster relevant business drivers are considered and explained. The Specialist of Cluster FP&A is expected to drive the cluster forecasting and planning process and deliver actionable insights to drive business performance in the cluster and markets in collaboration with Group FP&A. The role requires a combination of strong forecasting/planning/analysis skills, combined with business acumen and commercial finance skills to explain drivers of business performance in the particular cluster.The key desired outcomes over the next 12 months for the Cluster FP&A Specialist: The key desired outcomes over the next 12 months for the Cluster FP&A Specialist: - Raise, on a timely manner, any risk and opportunities to targets in each of the financial statements- Collaborate with the Cluster FP&A Manager in the consolidation of Emerging Markets and Brazil financial statements- Collaborate with the Cluster FP&A Manager in the consolidation of Emerging Markets and Brazil financial statementsTake part- Built stronger relations to Group FP&A and Cluster- Built stronger relations to Group FP&A and Cluster- Provided cluster input and adapt to new improved global financial planning processes

Key accountabilities:

Key accountabilities for the Specialist of Cluster FP&A will constitute a subset of the Cluster Commercial Finance accountabilities on a more detailed level. These are outlined below:  

Budgeting and Forecasting
- Drive market performance management through managing planning and forecast process and information in alignment with Cluster FP&A and Global Business Finance.
- Sign-off action plans by Market Business Partners for off track categories/areas

Management Reporting
- Deliver insight and identifies key drivers of cluster/market business performance
- Finalise ‘standard’ reporting for the cluster based on business understanding (first cut of report produced by Reporting CoE)

Strategic Planning
- Make strategic (and Capex) planning process and target setting. Led and driven by Group and cluster agreeing priorities and validating targets with business stakeholders

Candidate Description

Educational background: Master

Field of study: Master’s degree in Finance or similar

Pivotal and professional qualifications:

- Experience from similar role(s) and responsibility in a global and international organisation
- Experience from retail, fashion or FMCG industry
- Fluent in English – verbally and written
