PRESS RELEASE
Designed to be worn every day and cherished for years to come, Pandora Lab-Grown Diamonds bring together modern design and skilled craftsmanship. From the expressive, symbolic designs of Pandora Infinite, first introduced in 2021 as Pandora’s inaugural lab-grown diamond collection, to the refined essentials of Pandora Era, each piece reflects a contemporary approach to fine jewellery.
"Our lab-grown diamonds combine beauty, accessibility and responsibility, and we are excited to bring the collections to consumers in Spain and Italy. Diamonds were once reserved for the few, but thanks to innovation, many more people can now enjoy them," said Pandora’s Chief Commercial Officer Massimo Basei.
Around 90% lower carbon footprint than mined diamonds
Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, optically, thermally and physically identical to mined diamonds, and are rapidly gaining market share as consumers seek more affordable and sustainable options.
Pandora stopped using mined diamonds in 2021 and now only uses lab-grown diamonds made with 100% renewable electricity, set in jewellery crafted from 100% recycled silver and gold.
Alongside the traditional four Cs of diamond grading (cut, colour, clarity and carat), every Pandora Lab‑Grown Diamond is now labelled with a fifth C: carbon footprint. A one carat Pandora Lab‑Grown Diamond emits just 12.58 kg CO2e - around 90% less than a mined diamond of the same size.
Flagship expansion in Barcelona and Milan
The launch coincides with the opening of new flagship stores in Barcelona and Milan. The Barcelona store is located on the fashion avenue Passeig de Gràcia next to Gaudí’s Casa Batlló. It spans 175 square meters and is inspired by the city’s architecture and craftsmanship. The space features four-metre-high ceilings, softly curved clay-plastered walls echoing Gaudí’s style, and locally sourced materials including terrazzo stone flooring and pine wood details.
The Milan store is located on the corner of Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and Piazza San Babila, intersecting with the city’s luxury district. The store sits within a landmark 1930s rationalist building and spans 250 square metres over two levels. It is defined by an 8-metre-high façade and displays a striking heart charm sculpture on the mezzanine, visible from both inside and out. The sculpture is based on one of Pandora’s first charms.
The two locations mark Pandora’s third and fourth flagship stores, following Copenhagen (2024) and Las Vegas (2025).
In Spain, Pandora Lab-Grown Diamonds are exclusive to the Barcelona flagship. In Italy, the collection is available online and at the Milan flagship and 40 selected stores nationwide.
Pandora Lab-Grown Diamonds are also available in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Denmark.
