Corporate Knights announces Pandora on their 2025 Global 100 Most Sustainable Companies list at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Pandora, the world's largest jewellery brand, has been named as one of the world's 100 most sustainable companies in the esteemed annual ranking by Corporate Knights. The ranking is based on an extensive analysis of 8,359 companies, each with more than USD 1 billion in revenue, on a range of metrics covering sustainable business practices and respect for people and societies.
Pandora ranks 48 overall and second in the "Textiles, Apparel and Luxury Goods" industry.
Corporate Knights particularly highlights Pandora's efforts to develop more sustainable products. The company crafts all its jewellery using 100% recycled silver and gold, and it has introduced Pandora Lab-Grown Diamonds, which have a carbon footprint that is 95% lower than mined diamonds.
"We are proud to have established one of the most ambitious sustainability agendas in the jewellery industry," says Mads Twomey-Madsen, SVP Global Communications and Sustainability, speaking from Davos. "To us, high-quality jewellery, strong business performance and high ethical standards are closely linked, and we craft our jewellery with respect for resources, the environment and people. Being recognised as one of the most sustainable companies for the first time by Corporate Knights is a strong recognition of our progress."
Corporate Knights also noted Pandora's strong environmental performance. Within the last five years, Pandora has significantly reduced its CO2 emissions while delivering strong organic growth, and the company's crafting facilities are powered by 100% renewable energy and recycles 99.8% of the waste.
PANDORA STANDS OUT IN THESE KEY AREAS OF CORPORATE KNIGHTS'S RANKING
Sustainable Revenue: ability to drive growth through more sustainable products such as recycled silver and gold and lab-grown diamonds.
